This just in: I want to marry the Prelinger Archives.

Sometimes on Turner Classic Movies they show these old shorts from the '40s/'50s/'60s as filler between features — but you can never tell when they're going to be on.
I saw one last weekend that was about male pattern baldness (except they didn't call it that yet; I think they used alopecia instead) and was full of nutty advice. I got interrupted in the middle, though — I think I had to go to my grandparents' house to say Happy Father's Day. I wonder if I can find it in the archives ....

OMG. I looked at the "most downloaded" titles in the archive:
- Blonde Stag Film
- Peeping Tom's Paradise
- Perversion for Profit
- New Girl in the Office (Part 2)
Oy.
(Those aren't the only titles that were most downloaded, they just happen to fit the theme of "vintage porn" that I was commenting on. )

Ooh! I found it in the monthly TCM schedule — I guess they do list the short films. Who knew?
"So You Want To Keep Your Hair" (1946) is part of a series known as the Joe McDoakes shorts, the Behind the Eight Ball series, or the So You Want... series.

Despite it's porny-sounding title, "New Girl in the Office (Part 2)" is actually a government-produced short on the evils of sexism and racism, starring Ed Asner as the new girl.
Just kidding. He's probably one of the businessmen who realize that if you hire a black secretary, you can show off your integrated office when you bid on government contracts.
Or so I gather from the comments section — I haven't actually watched it myself.
