I just re-watched the first season of How I Met Your Mother, and I cannot express how much I love it. The cast . . . the writing . . . the Saget voiceover . . . it's just a hoot. Highly recommended.
I'm not quite recovered from my mini-vacation yet. Not that I did anything that exciting, but . . . .
I did listen to my Barney mix CD as I was driving back from Akron this morning. Fans of the show may remember Barney's "Get Psyched" mix from the New Year's Eve-themed episode "The Limo." All the television audience ever heard was one track — "You Give Love a Bad Name," Bon Jovi — but I used that as a starting point for a mix of cheeseball '70s/'80s rock tunes: "Nothing But a Good Time," Poison; "Welcome to the Jungle," Guns 'n' Roses; "Mr. Roboto," Styx; "Surrender," Cheap Trick; etc. and so on.
Fun fact: According to the DVD commentary on the season finale, Josh Radnor makes awesome mix CDs. I totally want one.
