Pottermania: T Minus 7

You can already see the latest movie, and you can start reading the last book this weekend, but it's a whole week until Harry and the Potters get to yell "Hello, Cleveland!" (Can you believe I've never seen This Is Spinal Tap?)

Other Harry Potter wackiness:

My Harry Potter Spoiler of Doom is:
Draco Malfoy is killed by Neville Longbottom in the library, with the revolver

  1. Okay, so obviously I'm intrigued by the band because of their fabulous name. But what do they sound like? Do they sing about Hogwarts etc?

  2. They sound like what they are: two guys making up songs about people, places, and events in the Harry Potter books.

You can hear some audio snippets on the Harry and the Potters My Space page.

  3. Harry and the POtters are from around here, I think. I saw them last night in HArvard Square. It was insanely geky down there. I dressed as sa wizard trying to dress as a muggle (Insane 70 dress with striped knee socks, crocs, a green bathrobe, Slytherin scarf and green felt hat). I kind of went down at the last minute because I was working yesterday and today. I missed Draco and the Malfoys, though. We saw people dressed up as the MAlfoys, a golden snitch, a giant squid and a great Sybill Trelawney. My friend Chrissy was going to go as the fat lady painting but didn't get the frame done.
I also brought the dogs because the new Padfoot in Order of the Phoenix looks a lot like Anna and Trouble is my very own howler. That and they'd been home by themselves all day. I think they were a little freaked out by the insane number of people down there.

  4. MQ: You are correct about H and the Ps being from the Boston area. I saw a poster for the Harvard Square party on their Web site. I can't believe you went. How cool!

I didn't go to anything they did around here. I picked up the copy my mom had on reserve at Borders, and I read the first few pages, but I had to get cracking on some freelance stuff, so I couldn't sit down and plow through it like I wanted to. Maybe I can make a dent in it tonight. . . . I want to finish reading it before I the concert on Wed., but I doubt I will be able to.
