TDS @ OSU

I would ditch work and go to this, except the tickets are probably already gone.

"Daily Show" Coming to OSU

Jon Stewart will bring Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" to Ohio State University for a week of special political reports just before the Nov. 7 election.

"Battlefield Ohio: 'The Daily Show's Midwest Midterm Midtacular" will be taped Oct. 30-Nov. 2 at OSU's 250-seat Roy Bowen Theatre on the Columbus campus. The award-winning news-satire show chose Ohio because it's "America's most hotly contested swing state," says Steve Albani, Comedy Central spokesman.

On the four shows, to air at 11 p.m. each day of taping, correspondents Samantha Bee, Dan Bakkedahl, Jason Jones and John Oliver "will provide political commentary from various locations in and around Ohio, to give viewers a unique perspective that only a true outsider can provide," according to "The Daily Show" announcement.

They also promise to "seek to answer the age-old question: Just what the hell is a buckeye?"

Ticket requests for the four telecasts can be made by e-mailing osutickets@thedailyshow.com. The audience will be seated at 4:30 p.m. for the 6 p.m. tapings, Albani says.

The show has traveled to Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington and Boston for its award-winning "Indecision" election previews since 2000.
