A copy of this cookbook surfaced a few months ago when we were cleaning out some filing cabinets at work. I don't have a good explanation for why it was tucked away in a file drawer, but the working theory is that one of our printer reps sent it to us as a sample.
Anyhow: Some people in the office were totally grossed out, but I mostly laughed about it. I figured it would be a perfect gift for my sister, and I was right — I brought it down to her when I came to visit over Memorial Day weekend, and she got a big kick out of it.
I haven't been back to visit since, though, so I haven't had the chance to sample any gourmet treats she might have been inspired to create, like Curried Termite Stew, Sweet and Sour Silkworm, or Chocolate Cricket Torte.
